- The maker of this image was well-prepared to capture the two hawks _ one flying and one perched _ together. The eyes of the hawk in flight appear sharp as are the ones of the perched hawk. Exposure was well controlled with very good detail in the perched bird's feathers. It's a bit unfortunate that the tip of the right wing of the hawk in flight is cut off. The maker might consider cloning out the blurry Ocotillo(?) in the lower left corner of the frame.
- excellent focus on both birds, I think, a dodge and burn layer could bring more drama to both birds.
- Cool engaging shot. Loss of wingtip detracts. Lighten the underside of the birds, and the branches, in post.
- Good focus & exposure in the standing Harris Hawk & head of flying hawk. You might need more shutter speed to freeze the fly by. Saguaro & other plants in background distract, consider removing. These bold & agile birds are fun to watch!
