Read MoreMark Thomas, Bell Rock Milky Way
*** Honorable Mention *** (Digital - Intermediate)
Interest: 6.8 Composition: 7 Technique: 7.5 Total: 21.3
Exposure: ISO:6400 f/4 10 52 mm (35mm equivalent)
- This is a good example of a night sky image. The stars appear to be pinpoints of light and Bell Rock in the foreground is sharply in focus. There's an interesting balance between the mass of Bell Rock and the Milky Way "cloud". The maker might consider composing this as a vertical and possibly experiment with some light painting on Bell Rock.
- it's beautiful photo to be sure. Regrettably, the Milky way could be brighter and more dominant
- Every part of the image says quality work. Can't say more.
- Love the composition with unmistakable Bell Rock silhouette in lower left & Milky Way rising up from lower right. Consider enhancing whites in the Milky Way. Normally less black is better for a silhouette but in this case a bit more at the bottom might enhance, especially at the low point of the curve.
