(Digital - Advanced)
Interest: 6.3 Composition: 6.5 Technique: 5.5 Total: 18.3
Exposure: ISO:400 f/8 1/250 105 mm (35mm equivalent)
- The maker did a good job capturing the moonrise over Silica Dome in a well-composed scene. The exposure is good with detail in the shadows and no apparent highlight blowouts. There are a couple of bright areas at the very bottom of the frame that the maker might tone down.
- minimal details in the rocks
- Pleasant enough. Sky color seems off. Maybe get shot earlier so moon lower, move to the left somewhat?
- Very interesting lines & colors showing geologic upheaval. Too bad the moon is so high in the sky, which causes the almost featureless blue to dominate the upper half of the image. Slightly green sky color seems unnatural. Nice concept - try again when the moon is lower.
