- This Puffin appears to enjoy posing for the photographer. Its eye appears to be sharp with a nice catch light. There is, however, some loss of definition of the feathers on the chest and wing. While out of focus, the background is still busy and bright. The maker has left a good amount of room into which the Puffin is looking, but should consider cropping of some of area at the back of the bird. This would have the effect of moving the bird from the center of the frame and removing some of the intrusive background.
- Superb focus and a wonderful clownish bird. The puffin is centered in the photo and would be better placed to the left. Leave more room in front of the bird and less behind him
- Engaging portrait. Who doesn't like puffins? Bird is too centered and there's a slight loss of focus in the feathers. Need to learn how to excise the vegetation from the body.
- Sharp focus throughout the puffin. Appears to be shot on a sunny day & maker unsuccessfully attempted to fix in post processing - whites & black are gray. Vibrant color in orange feet & bill.
