- The maker of this image has captured a lot of fine detail in this horse's head and neck. While the horse's ears are forward (good) the horse's head was down (less good). The image would be a lot stronger if the head were up. The maker should consider cropping in from the left and down from the top. This would eliminate the bit of tack that visible at the horse's chest and some of the background. This would give the horse more prominence.
- nice looking horse portrait. The top 1/4 of the photo dark and takes away from the horse. Lighting is harsh takes away from the elegant face.
- Well focused, but the light is in the wrong place, the cropping is odd, and the horse looks sad. Find the glory in the horse.
- Nice portrait with sharp focus on the horse. Composition could be improved with less of the contrasty background above the horse's head & more space below muzzle. Consider brightening the eye to better capture horse's expression. Good work considering contrasty conditions.
